Effective Date: October 27, 2026 This Privacy Policy applies to PDF READER: SCAN & EDIT (hereby referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Daily Life office and Home Tools (hereby referred to as the "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS". Information Collection and Use The Application may access certain device information, images, and files necessary to provide its core features, including PDF reading, editing, document scanning, merging, compression, and file conversion. Depending on the features you use, the Application may process: PDF documents opened or selected by you Photos and images selected for PDF creation or conversion Documents imported from your device Text, drawings, doodles, and signatures added to PDF documents Images captured using the camera for document scanning, where supported Device and application information required for advertising and app functionality The Application does not sell, rent, or trade your personal documents, photos, images, or other files to third parties. PDF Reading, Editing, and File Management The Application provides tools to read, create, edit, and manage PDF documents. Depending on the features available, you may use the Application to: Open and read PDF documents Add text to PDF pages Draw, doodle, or annotate PDF documents Add signatures to PDF documents Scan physical documents and create PDFs Convert images to PDF files Convert PDF pages to images Import PDF documents from your device Merge multiple PDF documents Compress PDF files Convert PDF files to Word documents (DOC/DOCX) Convert Word documents (DOC/DOCX) to PDF files Convert PowerPoint presentations (PPT/PPTX) to PDF files Convert PDF files to PowerPoint presentations (PPT/PPTX) Save or export created and edited documents Text, drawings, annotations, and signatures are processed to provide the editing features you choose to use. The Application accesses documents and images as needed to perform the actions requested by you. Access to files is subject to the permissions you grant and the Android features available on your device. Documents, Photos, and Images The Application may require access to images and documents stored on your device to provide PDF creation, scanning, editing, and conversion features. Depending on your Android version and the permissions granted, the Application may access files you select through the Android system file picker or images you authorize through supported media access permissions. Files may be used to: Import documents for viewing or editing Select images for PDF creation Scan and process document images Generate, modify, or convert PDF files Save or export documents to a location selected by you The Application does not intentionally upload your personal documents, photos, images, or other files to the Service Provider's servers as part of normal on-device processing. If any feature sends files to an external service, that processing must be disclosed according to the feature's actual implementation. EU User Consent Policy We respect your privacy and comply with applicable privacy requirements, including the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR where applicable. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the Application may request consent for the use of personal data, including advertising identifiers, for advertising purposes. Permissions CAMERA The Application may use camera access to capture images of physical documents for scanning and PDF creation, where this feature is available. Camera access is used when you choose to use the relevant feature. READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE On supported older Android versions, this permission may be used to access images required for PDF creation and conversion features. Its applicability depends on the Android version and the Application's target SDK. On newer Android versions, the Application may use applicable media permissions or the Android system file picker instead. READ_MEDIA_IMAGES On supported Android versions, this permission may be used to access images required for image-to-PDF conversion, document creation, and other image-related features. READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED On supported Android versions, this permission may allow the Application to access photos and images specifically selected by you, where applicable. AD_ID The advertising identifier may be used for advertising, attribution, and measurement purposes through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), subject to applicable consent requirements and user settings. INTERNET Internet access is used for network-dependent functionality, including advertisements and supported third-party services. android.hardware.camera.any The camera is declared as an optional device feature. This means a camera is not mandatory for installing or using the Application. Camera-based functionality may be unavailable on devices without a compatible camera. The Application uses permissions according to the features implemented and the Android version of your device. Permissions that are not required by the actual implementation should not be declared or described as being used. Advertising The Application may use Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display advertisements. AdMob and its advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, application information, and advertising interactions for advertising delivery, attribution, and measurement purposes, subject to applicable privacy requirements and user choices. Firebase Remote Config If the Application uses Firebase Remote Config, this service may be used to manage application configurations, settings, and feature behavior remotely. Firebase may process certain device or application-related information required to provide this service. Data Retention The Service Provider does not intentionally maintain a server-side database containing personal PDF documents, photos, images, or other files processed through normal on-device functionality. Documents created, edited, or exported by you may remain on your device or in a storage location selected by you until you delete or otherwise manage them. Information processed by third-party services may be retained according to their respective policies. Your Choices and Opt-Out Rights You may control the Application's access to certain information through your Android device settings. Depending on your Android version and the features available, you may: Revoke camera permission Manage photo and image permissions Select specific images through supported Android interfaces Manage advertising identifier settings Manage advertising consent choices Uninstall the Application Restricting required permissions may prevent certain Application features from functioning correctly. Security The Service Provider values the security of your information. The Application is designed to use device permissions and third-party services as necessary to provide its functionality. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Children's Privacy The Application is not intended to knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact us.
